4th of July Celebrations in Kansas City You Won’t Want to Miss

With so many 4th of July celebrations happening around the Kansas City metro area, you may puzzle over where to celebrate your holiday. We’ve rounded up a list of the top 4 Kansas City area 4th of July celebrations that should be on your list:

 

1. KC RiverFest

KC RiverFest is a festival that’s fun for the entire family!

Here’s the lineup of events for 2018:

  • 5:00 pm Wonderfuzz & Streetlevel Uprising
  • 6:00 pm Jessica Page
  • 6:45 pm USAF Band of Mid-America: Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble
  • 7:00 pm Run With It
  • 8:00 pm Enrique Chi of Making Movies
  • 8:30 pm Lost Wax
  • 9:40 pm KC RiverFest Fireworks over the Missouri River

There is also a large variety of food trucks and family-friendly activities that you can enjoy at the festival!

 

2. Weston July 4th Celebration

The Weston 4th of July celebration represents small-town festivities at their finest. Beginning with a hometown parade and ending with fireworks presented by the Weston Masonic Lodge, you’re sure to have a great time!

 

3. Spirit of Kansas Blues Festival

This annual event in Topeka celebrates both America and Blues music on the 4th.

Here’s this years lineup of acts:

  • 10:15am Color Guard, National Anthem sung by Marci Perez
  • 10:30am Matthew J
  • 11:15am Koolaide and The Exact Change Band
  • 12:15pm Josh Garrett Band
  • 1:45pm Keeshea Pratt Band

  • 4:45pm Jason Ricci and The Bad Kind
  • 6:15pm Wayne Baker Brooks
  • 7:45pm Nikki Hill with Laura Chavez
  • 9:00pm All Star Jam, followed by Capital Federal’s fireworks

 

4. Fourth of July Celebration at Ft. Leavenworth
